What an evening! My amazing Music Education Department at Penn State put together this baby shower for us and we had a really great time. It's such a special thing to work with, and for, people who care about you and support you. We are eternally grateful for this group of people and all that they do for us. I think the most powerful testament to the awesomeness of this department is the fact that 4 graduate students have had babies since I've been here. I know our decision to have a baby now, while I'm at Penn State, was partly because of how supportive the environment is and how comfortable I felt taking this step while working here. I'm certain some of the other grad students felt the same. We just have an amazing department!
