Oatmeal and construction vehicles - the perfect combo.
And this is why I prefer oatmeal to sand for the nearly-2-year-old...
Apparently he needed to do an inventory of all the books on the shelves. Thankfully, they're all accounted for. None were left in Muncie.
Sometimes dinner is just so good you need to double-fist it.
This was the first time we were out running errands and I looked out the car window (at a red light) to see beautiful mountains looking back at me. Wow! I hope I never get used to it. :-)
Empty kitchen cabinets are a great place for hiding.
Yep. There was a time he was too small to take baths in that tub... *cue sad mommy face*
I know this doesn't look impressive, but it was about a week after moving in that I finally had enough unpacked to be able to make us a "real" breakfast of hot, homemade oatmeal. It was an accomplishment and Gabriel approved!
We must be real homeowners. We're spending Saturday morning in Home Depot. :-) And Gabriel's getting his first ride in a car-cart. Too fun!
Our kitties are sometimes stinkpots, but we are increasingly grateful for their patience with Gabriel. Construction vehicles and all!
I think this will be one of my favorite videos of him for a very long time. Pure joy. :-)
After a rough day, mama requested ice cream! Other than Gabriel getting his first ice cream headache (which was awful to witness and not be able to help with!), it was an excellent way to spend the evening.
Sensory play time! Yes, a bunch of this ended up outside the plastic tub. Thank goodness for a good vacuum.
Our Ikea trip was only somewhat successful, but Gabriel seems pretty excited for his new tent.
Happy Father's Day!
It's for dada, but really it's a joint gift.
A "my first barista" set. Now G & dada can have coffee together all the time!
The official taste-tester for the Father's Day cake.
G is more and more excited to sing his ABCs. He worked so hard to find the right button in this book to play the ABCs repeatedly and dance along.
We're very grateful for our new neighbors and our weekly playdate at their house. He has so much fun with his new friends (and new toys).
First snack at the new table & chairs. I think he approves. ;-)
First time eating a for-real bowl of cereal & milk. Yum!
When dada went to a 1-day conference in Denver, we had a fantastic mama + Gabriel day! Starting, of course, with time at the park.
After the park, we headed for our first trip to the local (indoor) pool! Unfortunately we spent more time in the changing room than the water thanks to someone else's leaky diaper... But isn't he adorable!? He had a fantastic time in the water.
After the pool, we had Chick-Fil-A for lunch. The highlight was watching the cars go through the drive-through right out our window.
He took a nice, long nap and then we played a bit at home. Then it was off to IHOP for a delicious pancake face for dinner. Mama + Gabriel fun day complete!
This child is desperate for a toy to ride in/on! Good thing his birthday is in a few days. ;-)
Gotta test out the new bed & sheets for Grammie & Pops' visit!
Anytime he can, he sneaks a peak at all the picture frames waiting to be hung. And he goes straight for the frame of all our Bellefonte friends. He points to Miss Bethany, Miss Cassie, and Miss Jess with near-perfect accuracy. :-)
This boy sure knows how to relax while watching a movie.
Riding in car-carts is now a necessity at stores that offer them. We may have created a monster.
