Gabriel HATED sponge baths. Trying to bathe him before his umbilical cord fell off was torture for all of us. Based on the epic quivering lip we think he just gets cold really quickly. You may have seen some of these crying, upset pictures in the "Hospital 7/1/14" album where he got a sponge bath in the hospital. 

Tub baths have generally been much better. He got his first tub bath on 7/16 and did a lot of screaming and fussing and squirming so the pictures aren't fantastic. We took a few more during bath #3 (or 4??). With every bath he seems to get more and more comfortable. As long as he has nice warm water to sit in he's a happy camper.
